James Oh is a Partner and Investment Committee Member of Pacific Avenue Capital Partners. In addition to sourcing and leading platform acquisitions, Mr. Oh plays an active role in portfolio operations, add-ons, carve-out transition, financings, and divestitures.
Prior to joining Pacific, Mr. Oh was a Managing Partner and Investment Committee member at Transom Capital Group, serving on the board and audit committees at various portfolio companies at Transom. Before this, Mr. Oh was a Principal at The Gores Group leading the Capital Markets and Corporate Finance activities. Prior to The Gores Group, Mr. Oh was a Vice President in the Loan Originations and Loan Sales and Syndication groups at Wells Fargo Capital Finance. Mr. Oh started his career in the Transaction Services Group at PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Mr. Oh has been recognized as a Most Influential Private Equity Investor by the Los Angeles Business Journal, a Rising Star of Private Equity by Mergers & Acquisitions magazine, and a recipient of the Emerging Leaders Award from The M&A Advisor.
Mr. Oh earned a Bachelor of Arts in International Economics from the University of California at Los Angeles. He is also a certified public accountant (inactive).
